We are making a huge change in how we do business at Barham’s Ozark Beef. It’s been a difficult decision to make, but we feel it’s best for the future of our business and our family. Here’s the news…
Starting in October 2025, Barham’s Ozark Beef will no longer offer “retail beef.” This means we will no longer sell beef from our freezer trailer on the weekends or offer online beef sales and subscriptions. Customers could still purchase Barham’s Ozark Beef, but only through the purchase of a half beef or whole beef.
Beef Snob Snack Sticks will become a much bigger focus as we look to add more retail stores, increase website sales, and bolster our Amazon store. We feel like Beef Snob Snack Sticks are the future of our business and need much more attention.
My little girls also deserve more attention. As I mention in the video, I’m away from home nearly every weekend of the year to work at the store. “I miss you daddy,” is a phrase too commonly spoken by my 3-year-old. Closing the retail beef side of the business will allow me to spend valuable time with my family and hopefully make up for lost time.
This has not been an easy decision. We’ve discussed it at length for over a year. We even went through a strategic planning process, which clearly showed Beef Snob Snack Sticks is our most scalable opportunity. As amazing as our beef tastes, it was identified as the most difficult product to scale.
This decision affects many of you, especially those who have only eaten our beef over the past 5 years. To all of you who have been loyal customers, please know how much we appreciate you and your families. We love you guys and hope we can still service you through our bulk beef offerings. We will miss all the customers who shop with us each week. I can’t remember my life without you!
On the bright side… we have two months left of retail sales. Please come out to the Conway, Arkansas Farmer’s Market this Saturday morning and Haynes Ace in Conway this Saturday afternoon or Sunday afternoon to load up on all your favorite cuts! We’re not done yet, so come and get it while you can.
